Reactive Technologies Limited

Last updated: 15.09.2026

1. About this policy

This cookie policy explains how Reactive Technologies Limited (“Reactive”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at www.reactive-technologies.com (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data and the rights you have.

Our use of cookies is governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and, where cookies involve your personal data, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

  • Company: Reactive Technologies Limited, registered in England and Wales with company number 7130127.
  • Contact: [Data Protection Officer / privacy contact], [privacy email address], or by post to Reactive Technologies UK, Bridge House, 4 Borough High Street, London, SE1 9QR.

2. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that a website stores on your browser or your device when you visit. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your device, and they allow the website to recognise your device on future visits. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags and local storage; in this policy we refer to all of these simply as “cookies”.

3. Your consent and how we use cookies

When you first visit the Site, we show you a cookie banner. We only place cookies that are strictly necessary for the Site to work without asking you first. We will not place any other cookies — including analytics, functionality and targeting/advertising cookies — unless and until you have given your consent through the banner.

Through the banner you can:

  • accept all cookies;
  • reject all non-essential cookies (this is as easy as accepting them); or
  • choose which categories of cookies to allow.

We remember your choice so that we do not ask you every time you visit, and we keep a record of the consent you give. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time — see section 9, “How to manage or withdraw your consent”.

4. The categories of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary cookies – required for the operation of the Site, for example for security, network management, and remembering your cookie choices. These do not require your consent, and parts of the Site may not work properly without them.
  • Analytics / performance cookies – allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around the Site, so we can improve how it works and ensure visitors find what they are looking for. Set only with your consent.
  • Functionality cookies – recognise you when you return to the Site and remember your preferences, such as your choice of language or region. Set only with your consent.
  • Targeting / advertising cookies – record your visit to the Site, the pages you visit and the links you follow, and are used to make our marketing and re-marketing more relevant to you. They may be set by us or by our advertising partners. Set only with your consent.

5. The specific cookies we use

The table below lists the individual cookies used on the Site, who sets them, what they do, and how long they last.

6. How long cookies last

Except for strictly necessary cookies, we set non-essential cookies to expire after no longer than [12 months]. We will also ask you to renew your consent periodically (at least every [12 months]) so that your choices stay up to date. (This replaces the previous default of up to two years, in line with Information Commissioner’s Office guidance.)

7. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties that provide services on our behalf — for example analytics providers (such as [Google Analytics]) and advertising partners. We only allow these cookies to be set where you have given your consent, and we identify them in the table in section 5. These third parties may use cookies over which we have limited control; their use of any personal data is governed by their own privacy and cookie notices, which we recommend you read: [links to third-party notices].

8. International data transfers

Some of the third parties that set cookies on the Site — for example analytics and advertising providers — may transfer and process personal data collected through those cookies in countries outside the United Kingdom, including the United States. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your personal data continues to receive an adequate level of protection, such as relying on UK adequacy regulations or, where these do not apply, appropriate safeguards like the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses together with the UK Addendum. Further detail on these transfers and safeguards is set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. How to manage or withdraw your consent

  • Cookie preferences – clicking the “Cookie preferences” link [in the footer of the Site] to reopen the cookie settings and change your choices; and/or
  • Browser settings – changing your browser settings to refuse some or all cookies, or to alert you when a cookie is being set. Guidance on cookies is available from the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, or through your browser’s help pages.

Please note that if you block all cookies (including strictly necessary cookies), some or all parts of the Site may not work properly. Withdrawing your consent does not remove cookies already stored on your device, but you can delete these through your browser settings.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date shown above and, where the changes are significant, we will bring them to your attention (for example, through the cookie banner or a notice on the Site).

11. How to contact us

You can also find more information about how we handle your personal data in our Privacy Policy, and you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
