Reactive Technologies joins IEEE PES Corporate Engagement Program to advance real-time grid measurement and engineering collaboration

17 March 2026

As power systems become more dynamic with growing inverter-based resources (IBR) penetration, large new loads, and evolving operating conditions, engineers require deeper visibility into system behavior to maintain reliability and resilience.

Reactive Technologies is proud to join the Corporate Engagement Program (CEP) of the IEEE Power & Energy Society (IEEE PES), strengthening collaboration with the global power engineering community.

Through this partnership, Reactive Technologies aims to contribute practical insights from real-world grid measurement deployments, support knowledge exchange on emerging stability challenges, and engage with industry experts on advancing engineering standards and operational best practices.

Reactive Technologies’ measurement technologies provide real-time visibility into critical system characteristics such as inertia, system strength and oscillatory behavior, helping grid operators better understand fast-changing power system dynamics.

Marc Borrett, CEO of Reactive Technologies, commented:

“Power systems are becoming increasingly complex and dynamic. Collaboration with the engineering community is essential to ensure operators have the best tools and insights  to manage this transition with confidence. We look forward to working with IEEE PES members globally to share knowledge and support continued innovation.”

The partnership will enable participation in technical working groups, joint workshops, and educational initiatives supporting power system engineers worldwide.
